This year we’re inviting speakers to “Stop, Collaborate, and Listen.”

In the spirit of TED, this theme encourages speakers to explore innovative ideas and share transformative insights to captivate our audience and inspire collective action.

In a world that moves at an ever-increasing pace, the call to “Stop” prompts speakers to reflect on the significance of pausing amidst the chaos, by examining societal norms, or reassess personal and professional trajectories.

The heart of our theme lies in “Collaborate,” emphasising the strength found in unity and shared efforts. Speakers will explore the dynamic nature of collaboration, whether it be across disciplines, cultures, or industries and discuss how diverse perspectives come together to solve complex problems?

The final component, “Listen,” challenges speakers to explore the art of active listening in a world filled with noise, and how, if we all understood the importance of empathy, fostered an open-mind, and promote meaningful and non-judgemental dialogue, the world would be a better place.

“Stop, Collaborate, and Listen” is a call to action for speakers to present ideas that transcend the ordinary, challenge the status quo, and ultimately leave our audience with a renewed sense of purpose.

What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.

Our event is called TEDxWolverhampton, where x = independently organized TED event.

At our event, TED Talks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
