Nathan Coyle is the Director New Union which is a not for profit social enterprise that works with Government in the UK and Europe to better include citizens in regards to influencing digital policy using civic technology and community development.
He is also the Founder of two social good projects, Data Brew which looks make the language around open data more inclusive and Civify which puts young people in front of elected officials to hold them accountable on issues that affect them.
Nathan is a keen advocate for using digital for social good and can be found around the region running hackathons on a series of weird and wonderful projects, taking in social issues such as human trafficking, helping the visually impaired to have a say on local government policy to showcasing how residents can use community journalism to affect change.
Nathan has also written pieces on politics for The Huffington Post and The Royal Society of Arts, along with local press and other professional institutions.
He’s a proud ‘Black Country lad’ and a lifelong follower of Wolverhampton Wanderers.
